Terence Witherspoon, a native of Fairfield, Ala., played on the Lion football team's offensive line from 1974-77 and became the school's first three-time All-Gulf South Conference performer in any sport.  

He was named team Most Valuable Lineman in 1975, was a third-team All-American as a junior and an honorable mention All-American as a senior.  He was selected to   "The First Forty Years" UNA Football Team and the 50th Anniversary UNA Football Team for 1949-98. 

He graduated from UNA in 1979 with a B.S. degree in Business Management.  At the time of his induction he had served eight years on the Fairfield City Council.
